About Me:: I like disc golf! I quit college soccer (winter 2006-2007), and had tons of free time. My brother told me of this sport called disc golf that he played at the park by our house. I went out and tried it, and I was hooked. I played 3-4 rounds a day because the course was flat and wide open, and because I wanted to improve. The guys in the area kept telling me I was good and should enter a tourney. I didn't think I was that good. I went to the weekly random doubles league and I was the only female and close to the worst player there. Thankfully, they kept on me and kept encouraging me. I played my first tournament in the spring of 2007, and realized I could compete with the women.

In August of 2007, I moved to Minnesota. The Ohio disc golfers I knew kept telling me it was a DG mecca. When I got here, I found that to be so true. Lots of great people and great places to play disc. Thanks to the help of many great disc golfers in the area, I took advice and worked hard to improve. I turned pro July 4th weekend in 2009, and was honored to be named the PDGA Female Rookie of the Year for 2009.

For now, I am still practicing constantly whether that be putting in my backyard or doing field work. Tournaments and traveling for tournaments are on hold for the most part as I job hunt and figure out to do with my life (December 2009 college grad). I'm looking forward to being able to tour (hopefully) in 2011. I love meeting new people and seeing new places.

Last but surely not least, I run a women's league in the metro. I'm always down for meeting new people, so hit me up if you want to play!
