Hey just wanted to let you know I am throwing a doubles tournament this weekend at blue ribbon pines. There is a $40 a person entry that includes a chance to win a new car, discraft limited edition disc, towel, t shirt, golf, food and prizes. Trying to get the last minute word out as good as I can.

There are three divisions and some awesome BBQ that will follow.

Registration is already over 3/4 full so if you are interested please do sign up at www.blueribbonpines.net

Hope to see you out there

I hope you don't mind me following up on my initial comment....

In the Intermediate division... outstanding disc golfer Kit Ruesch would have took a strong 2nd place had he been a MFA member. Matt Vogel and Matt Ellingson of Fairmont would have much higher scores that Jeremy Novalany had they been MFA members,

Gabe's scores was not too far behind Jeremy Novalany... meaning Gabe could have had a nice net gain in 2009 from a MFA membership. Brent Lenz's play at MST events put him just behind Gabe... had he been a MFA member.

Not too many Intermediate disc golfers know that the MFA PAYS CASH to Ams at the End of the Years awards for those AM disc golfers who place high enough in the MST standings... but they first need to be MFA members to take advantage of this opportunity.

The rule is that in order for your play at a MST event to count in the MST standings - you must become a MFA member on or before the day of a MST event. It can be right after the event but it needs to happen before midnight for those points to count.

The competition is based on your top 7 MST Events. MFA Stats Chairperson Jake Schamm will be tracking these points and we expect much more publicity on the race to become a MST champion in the various divisions.

I'm looking forward to great competition in the 2010 MST events.

Please don't forget about the MDS events.

Welcome and Congrats to our 2009 Minnesota Summer Tour Champion in the Intermediate division.

Too many South zone Intermediate disc golfers who compete in MST events left money on the table for not being a MFA member in 2009.

Intermediate
1 - Darin Finley - $129
2 - Jeremy Novalany - $90
3 - Dion Erbes - $67
4 - Nick Letendre - $50
5 - Nate Morton - $37

Thanks for your renewal membership.
