Hello all,
Trevor Boehne will be hosting the Southern Minnesota Fall Shootout on Saturday October 20, 2012 at The Links of Springfield Disc Golf Course.
There are a lot of disc golf courses in Southern Minnesota that don't get the chance to see a lot of tournament action. I am trying to change that a little bit at a time. This will be the first PDGA sanctioned tournament at The Links of Springfield Disc Golf Course! The disc golf season is beginning to wrap up in our area, so come down for at least one more awesome tournament to finish off your season! We are working on added cash and prizes for all participants. Check back as more details become available. Please come check out the Southern Minnesota Fall Shootout and support some of the courses around the South Zone!

The course has been under construction for nearly the past 11 months, as we expanded from 14 holes over ~9 acres to 18 holes over ~16 acres. My goal in the next 7-10 days is to post a bunch of photos of the new holes at PDGA.com, DGCourseReview, etc. Signage for each of the 30 tee boxes should be installed tomorrow afternoon.
It's an entirely different course than those of you who've played in Springfield before might remember! Only two shots from the original design (Am 14, which is now Am 3, and Am 11, which is now Am 17) remain. Lots of trees, water, and technical shots off the tee. A course with a lot of potential deuces! But also a course with a lot of potential circle-4s (or worse) if you get greedy/careless on the tee.
We hope to see you here!
