Once in a Decade Opportunity
Want to meet the disc athletes who created disc golf, Ultimate, DDC and all the other events that make this sport so attractive?
Most of the top overall players in the world will be visiting MN July 11-17 for the 27th annual Overall Championships, hosted by the City of Edina, Three Rivers Park District and our very own MFA.
The week will be full of disc play for 6 straight days from 8 am- 5 pm and the evenings full of fun and community building with a Welcoming Ceremony for the visitng players and memorial for Fred Morrison, the inventor of the plastic flying disc and other fallen disc legends, bike rides to Target Field and the Stonearch Bridge, Save the Children disc auction, Dances with Wolves and Saturday's Awards Banquet.
Local golfers can participate in any and all events, golf is on Wed the 14th of July and I'd love to see a MN golfer take home the 1st prize....trophies for all participants but the real prize is just to compete with those who created our sport,

This is our opportunity to showcase what's great about disc sports in Minnesota...... maybe learn a new discipline.....and see some HOT freestyle with Pat Maron and the boyz.

Nice post Paul. I too would like to see local disc golfers compete on Wed (7/14).
Thanks for all of your work. The MFA will work on getting some volunteers there for disc golf.

thanks Todd...could use at least 10 at Bryant Lake and the same # at Hyland in the afternoon of the 14th
see you on sunday...will bring Accuracy target and DDC court for fun.
