Hey everyone!
Just wanted to quickly share that, as of January 2, 2012, I've made some modifications to the four calendars found on this website (under the Events tab) that should make them easier to maintain going forward. If everything worked correctly, most people should never be able to tell the difference (other than a couple colors changing)! But I wanted to post a quick "heads up" in the Forum...so that if anyone notices anything different (or ESPECIALLY if anyone notices any problems), you'll know what's up and/or who to contact.
Anything to make some good calendars without requiring 5-10 minutes per-event to add the new info! I'm happy to volunteer time to help the MFA out...I just want to make every minute/hour of my volunteer time count. If you catch my drift. :-) Thanks! - Derek

Hey Derek, I get this message at the top of the calendar and the word "busy" in each date box.
"Events from one or more calendars could not be shown here because you do not have the permission to view them"

That was a Google Apps permission problem...which has now been fixed. I *think* things should be humming along again, though if you (or anyone else) notices any additional problems, let me know. I could have just left well-enough alone...but Google was forcing me to login and logout of multiple Google accounts (I have four...three for work, and one personal account) every time I needed to add information to the calendars. This change streamlines the whole process, making it take about 2-3 minutes per event to add (vs. 8-10+ minutes of monkey business).
Also, FWIW, I got a nice email this afternoon from Ning, telling me I had a reply to my original post in this thread. And wouldn't you know it? It was from Chuck Kennedy, with the complete word-for-word reply he had posted on the website! :-) That additional foible that Tom Hammes (and you) commented on seems to be much-improved now too. Though it still would be VEEEEERY nice if we could reply to the thread via email vs. logging back into the website.
I wish I had about a solid week to do nothing but work on enhancements to this (and the SMDGA) website. So many toys, bells and whistles I haven't had time to fully implement! But as people "squeak" (related to any wheels out there), I'm doing my best. Thanks again for the feedback, and for pointing out that permissions problem!
It's working now. Thanks Derek.
