MST EVENT #15 - CEDAR CREEK OPEN RESULTS

Thanks to everyone who made it down to the Cedar Creek Open. We had 112 players, making this year's CCO the biggest yet, and one of the largest tournaments in South Zone history. All four rounds were packed with prizes for the AM divisions. Both rounds on East had CTPs on every hole, and during both rounds on West the winner of the card got a free disc. We gave away 5 baskets during the weekend, and when all was said and done the AM divisions paid out 354%. The Pros got hooked up with over $2500 in added cash just for their divisions, brining the final tally to 222% payout. On top of this, the players enjoyed free beverages on the courses all weekend, and free snacks before and after at tournament central.

The competition was incredible all weekend, but there were a few standouts. Kyle Pinkman started the weekend with a course record 42 (rated 1072) on Cedar Creek West's long positions during the first round. He went on to shoot 21 under par over the two rounds on West alone, and won the Open division by ten strokes over strong competitors like Adam Olsen and Chris Sprague, taking home $1111. The advanced and intermediate fields were very tight all weekend until the last round. Both divisions saw standout rounds. Steve Eyeberg's 44 (rated 1050) took him from second card to winning by three, and Brady Laue's 49 (rated 996) quickly separated him from a tight pack of scores to win by ten strokes. To put the cap on an awesome weekend, Adam Blasing managed to ace twice during the weekend, helping him taking home 2/5 of the $200 ace pool.

Congrats to all of the winners at the Cedar Creek Open
OPEN - Kyle Pinkman (179)
OPEN WOMEN - Katie Schreder (221)
OPEN MASTER - Doug Heckenliable (200)
ADVANCED - Steve Eyeberg (197)
ADVANCED WOMEN - Jamie Sternke (243)
INTERMEDIATE - Brady Laue (209)
